An Egyptian made AK variant that was available on the U.S civilian market back in the day. Although these rifles were built in Egypt, they are particularly coveted because they were as close to Russian rifles as one could get. This is due to the fact the Russian sold off AK machines and tooling to Egypt and sent their engineers and technicians to oversee assembly. This particular example though seems to have been scrubbed down to bare metal to give a “battlefield-pickup” appearance. The rarest of the Egyptian made AK’s are those imported by Steyr because they are pre-ban guns. Other importers will fall under the post-ban category. (GRH)
